I have incurred some personal debt while living in the U.K. I am a dual citizen (U.K. and U.S.). I am about to take a job in the U.S. but will not be earning enough to make payments. I'm wondering if Natwest and Barclays banks (Natwest is a U.K. and Barclays is an international bank but I do not think they have US offices) can pursue debt enforcement if I am living and working in the US and whether that information can be communicated to the US and will go on my credit report.
There is no reason it cannot be pursued or reported. Barclays issues credit cards in the US and files large numbers of lawsuits in Illinois, at least.
