I was given a $250,000 fine for drug trafficking in 2010. I'm currently trying to buy a home and was wondering if I go to sell it can the state put a lien on it if the home is less than $250,000? I was told in the past that if the home is 200,000 they will not take money from me?
This is more complicated than you think. The value of the home is not an issue, but rather your criminal penalty and payment terms. Your attempt to purchase this home may already be in jeopardy.
