I was pulled over by the cops, and my wife who is a registered owner on the car has a non-driver's state ID. Because she's a registered owner the cop said to me that because that ID is expired they can impound the car is that true?
Without a license she cannot drive the car. If car was registered and insured they should have permitted you to park and come back with a licensed driver.
If you were driving with a good license and the car is registered, inspected and insured there was no reason to impound.
