I'm almost at the middle of Chapter 13 and due to the crisis of Covid 19 my income has been reduced affecting our household; I'm barely able to keep up with the payments to the trustee and an extension to 84 months would be a huge help at this moment but my plan was confirmed after March 2020 ...could I still qualify ?
Unfortunately, no. The plan had to be confirmed prior to March 27, 2020, which is the date the CARES act was enacted.
No, your plan cannot be extended as a result of the Cares Act. But you should be represented by an experienced FL Bankruptcy attorney and if you are, then your questions should be directed to your counsel. If you do not have on, then you are going to really need to get one. THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE! YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO AN ATTORNEY WHO IS LICENSED IN YOUR STATE FOR LEGAL ADVICE. This is merely suggestions for you to think about in discussing your situation with the local attorney.
