I live in NY and kids have resided in PA for last two years so i am assuming PA is correct jurisdiction.
Travel Costs: The mother moved 6 hours away and i have to spend about 2 full tanks of gas round trip to see my 4 year old daughters. Can this amount be factored into any support order? I would like to petition for additional parenting time.
Living Arrangements: Mom lives with latest BF and just had another baby. Latest BF helps out with shelter, food, etc. I live by myself. Can the fact that she has additional income in her household be considered as well?
I currently have a voluntary agreement with the mother in which i pay one week's salary ($850) plus pay for health insurance. Would it be wise to initiate judicial intervention or can they make me pay more than what i pay now?
Travel expenses are generally not considered under the PA Support guidelines. Other household income is also not considered in determining support. I cannot advise whether you would be paying more or less support through a support calculation under the PA Guidelines without knowing each party's income and other relevant expenses, such as child care, health insurance, etc. I suggest you contact a PA attorney who can get this information from you and give you an idea of what the support amount would be.
