ky. law. my mother and father owned a house on one acre of land. jointly, no survivorship. my mother died with no will. when my father died later he left his portion of this property in a succession of life estates-myself,sister,brother . can the court forcibly sell this property since a portion is not under life estates and is owned by we three siblings.
So when you Mom passed your father inherited her share of the home. If your dad had a Will when he passed then his bequest should be followed.
His Will needs to be probated.
