I know that liens and levys can be used to retrieve money owed for back child support but does it work the other way? Is the IRS or FTB able to get their money from a person receiving child support or aid? Or is the money received for CS technically for the child and therefor untouchable?
No one can collect a debt owed by do from someone else. If someone is receiving child support money because there’s once it’s paid. It is not your money and no one else can go and snatch it away from the recipient so that your debt gets paid.
