Can someone file taxes for years 2006-2008 last year, how far back does the IRS go to file fraud?
My ex husband did fraud and not just the IRS but to EDD as well but that was years ago and since he's a .com artist and a fraud as a man I think he's doing it again with the government there's no statues of limitation, right? He had me sign some documents for the IRS for something to do back in 2006-2008, I'm thinking he committed fraud like years ago. It's a long story but I tried to explain as much I could but the situation is more complex than just these lines.

There's no statute of limitations for civil tax fraud. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/how-do-you-report-suspected-tax-fraud-activity

I agreed with prior answer, there is no statute of limitation for tax fraud. Additionally, you will be liable for any fraudulent tax returns and tax debt if you signed jointly filed tax returns. Innocent spouse defense may apply in your case. You'll need to discuss your situation with an experience tax attorney during a confidential consultation.
