I have a friend and her boyfriend lives in an apartment and rents the rooms out to two of his friends. One of his "tenants" who's name is not on the lease, deals drugs out of that apartment and has been charged of a DUI. The owner (her boyfriend) has knowledge that this is happening but fails to address the situation. If police were to find drugs in the apartment, would the owner also have to take responsibility for the tenants actions as well because his name is on the lease? AND could anyone in the apartment at that time also be charged guilty by association or possibly a minor in possession?
While your friend's boyfriend might or might not be convicted, it law enforcement were to execute a warrant on the apartment, he very well may get charged. Anyone in the apartment might well be suspect, and may be detained and questioned. If law enforcement becomes aware of the drug sales going on, they will likely watch the apartment for a while and will likely make note of who is coming and going from that address. I would recommend you not visit your friend at that apartment.
