My wife is working on OPT. Her OPT expires on November 25th. Her h1b petition has been approved by USCIS and her her COS will happen on 1st October.
We want to visit Canada to meet our family.
Your spouse can travel to Canada and re- enter the U.S. with a valid F-1 visa. The Automatic Visa Revalidation rule may also be applicable if certain requirements are fulfilled. As to the H-1B approval, you should contact the immigration attorney of the petitioning H-1B employer for the attorney to assess the ramifications of your trip abroad.
Approved H-1b will have no effect yet. As long as she has valid multiple entry visa, she should be fine. Please note that OPT is not her status. For more information talk to your international office.
Discuss it with the attorney of record.
