I am wife number one, I will get part of his pension and a lump some when he completes DROP. He retired five years ago and will complete drop very soon. I have a QDRO.
He is currently in the process of getting divorced from wife number two. She wants to freeze his retirement/DROP so he can't get it before their divorce is final and spend it or leave town.
If your QDRO was signed by the judge in your case, and properly served on the State of Florida, your portion should not be affected by this current case, as your ex-husband no longer owns the portion of his retirement that was awarded to you as part of the QDRO. However, you may wish to have the lawyer who handled your case review the current motion to freeze his retirement /drop to confirm that it will not affect your distribution.
