Arrested and charged with PWID marijuana (more than 1 ounce), PWID near a school (across the street), and drug paraphenalia. We were in my apartment being loud and the neighbors called the police. Out on bond and 4 days later arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana. We were being loud again and neighbors called police again (doh!). I know we need to hire a good local criminal defense attorney and request a jury trial, but looking ahead is there a way to "bundle" these charges to qualify the whole set together for Conditional Discharge? I'm a 24 year-old professional and want to clean up and put this junk behind me. Thanks...
I am familiar with situations where charges were bundled for purposes of a conditional discharge. However, in those situations the defendants were only facing Magistrate level misdemeanor drug offenses.
The conditional discharge most likely will not be an option for you however, there are other options available that can provide an alternative for you and, if successful, your record will be cleared of these charges. If you are serious about "cleaning up" then that is great to hear and a good criminal defense lawyer can help you get through this so it will hopefully not stick with you the rest of your life. The best option for you is to get a lawyer now and start working towards the right course of action for you, good luck,
