My boyfriend is currently laid off I owe rent a center over $300 for a bed I moved into this apartment starting over an unfortunately I had to rent a bed cause I couldn't afford one at a store
Short answer is: Rent a Center will not try to enter a judgment against you for an unpaid bed (not in New York State). Nor does NYS have laws where judgment debtors get arrested for not showing up in a court at a mandated hearing. It just doesn't happen in this state. Unlike, say, Arkansas which treats its citizens in a very hostile manner.
Rent a Center may attempt to knock on your door and ask you if they can enter and take the bed back. It is absolutely your option as to whether you are willing to give it back to them; you don't have to let them enter your apartment.
