Can prosecutors move forward ?
2 attorney answers
Hire an attorney to represent your interests in the case as an alleged victim. Prosecutors and law enforcement will only use anything you tell them against the defendant. Likewise a "victim's advocate" or "victim coordinator" work for law enforcement or the prosecutor's office, thus they have the same conflict of interest. They should not be giving you legal advice because they have a conflict of interest and because they are not attorneys. They will try anyway. You need an actual attorney who can focus on your interests and only your interests in the case.
You need to get an attorney. The prosecution can go forward if you are not there by showing you are unavailable, so they will use your report to them. Get some help. You can't solve this on your own.
