My son was forced to give up rights to his children and the mother also. They went thru CPS and may be adopted by maternal grandmother. I have been a big part of the childrens lives since birth. The stepgrandmother will not let me see them
If she has adopted him she is no longer his step-grandmother. She is his mother. Under the Supreme Court decision in Troxel v. Granville parents have constitutional rights to raise their children as they see fit unless they are unfit as parents. Hence, the adoptive mother being the child's legal mother she now has those rights. As a result she has the right to deny anyone the privilege of having contact with her children including former relatives.
