Is there anything that prevents one from filing a suit in a different county that has jurisdiction of subject matter while a related case is being contested in a different county where jurisdiction is being challenged?
Almost certainly not. Even if you did, the cases would likely be consolidated. Like all legal issues, there can be exceptions but courts are interested in efficiency. If it is not to late, a state court case may be revoved to a federal court but the requirements to do that aree strict and enforced
