I was found guilty of operating as a vehicle-for-hire at the airport. This was my very first offense and I didn't know I was commiting any crimes. (I dropped a friend off at the airport and a man offered to pay me to drive him back to Brooklyn. I agreed, I received a summons.) Anyway, now I have to pay a $1,500 fine. The letter States that if I don't pay in 30 days, the TLC "may" suspend my license. I am not a taxi driver. I don't have a TLC license. Can they suspend my personal DMV issued NYS driver's license?
I think only DMV or a Judge can suspend your license.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
