I was reading that form I-485 is free of charge for refugees who fled their country. My mother fled the country of Laos and married my dad who is now a us citizen and I myself am in the u.s army born here in America. I was told that as a member of the military I can sponsor my mother and gain citizenship or another green card. My mother came here legally through inspection but her green card expired. What can I do to help my mother?
If her green card is expiered why don't you Renew the card? I'm not understanding exactly?? Can you please explain a little more?
JUST BECAUSE I ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU MY CLIENT.
If you were admitted as a refugee, you are required by law to apply for a Green Card (permanent residence) in the United States 1 year after being admitted as a refugee
