Ticket received for littering then pulled over to realize my license was suspended. Received a ticket for driving unde suspended license.
If you were charged with driving on a suspended license, then it is a "must appear" offense and you have to go to court. The charge under Section 16-303(h) does not carry jail time, but does carry three points and up to a $500.00 fine. A charge under Section 16-303(c) carries 12 points, up to a year in jail, and up to a $1,000.00 fine.
If you previously received a traffic ticket for littering while in a motor vehicle, the failure to pay the fine or request a court date can result in the suspension of your license. Make sure you get your license reinstated.
