I went off the property and bought an can of beer 6.0. Drunk it off the property and return back to work my Safty Manager finds it in my belongings and fired me. I never been in any trouble. I think he did an illegal search to fire me. I don't think that' were Wright.
Georgia is an at-will employment state, meaning they can fire you for any reason or for no reason. They probably also have a policy about alcohol consumption while on the job, which you most likely violated. They did not do anything illegal.

The short answer is "yes". Sounds like your job involves some type of machinery if you have a safety manager? If so, I'm sure your employer also has rules against drinking on the job. And a search is only "illegal" if a police officer or sheriff does the searching, not a private individual.
Please be clear, that I am not establishing an attorney-client relationship and do not represent you until a fee agreement is signed by both parties. This is a forum for me to provide partial advice and give guidance where needed. In no way, am I asking you to rely on this advice and encourage you to either request a consultation or ask for a second opinion.
