I was granted emergency custody and trying to get my son enrolled in school, my ex refuses to allow me to have his SSN and BC, I do have his medical records though. Do I have to jump through hoops to get these papers from the state or can I request to the judge that she releases the documents?
If you have temporary custody you should be able to go to the statistical/vital records department and obtain a copy. You can go to social security office and obtain a copy as well.
