My daughter is 12 years old, her father has never paid more than 150.00 a month for child support and just started that a few years ago, now he threatens for joint custody because I want to up the child support. He never goes to or attends any of her activities or calls her.
You state "joint custody", in attorney language that means joint managing conservatorship - i.e. the right and powers over a child. If your meaning is joint access to the child, the court would have to determine if that is in the child's best interest at the time it is requested.
