I have been living with my boyfriend for almost 2 years and I have 3 kids from ex husband and a baby with my boyfriend. He has been paying the utilities and house payment while I pay for everything else we need like food, necessities, stuff for the house. I have also helped with the house payment a few times on top of other things. Our agreement was I pay for EVERYTHING we need and he just pays house and utilities. I've paid for everything Our baby has and he hasn't bought him anything since our agreement was I pay for everything we need (even supplies for the pool, yard work, house work, etc) it feels like a domestic partner relationship but we aren't a legal domestic partnership. He got mad recently and wants us out but has only asked in a text message to leave. Is there a times frame for getting out or does he have to ask me in writing? I was thinking i had 180 days since this has been our residence that we have been contributing to.
Unless you were to get some type of ownership interest in exchange for the $, than you could be considered either a tenant (in which case you may be entitled to up to 60 days written notice), or a guest/licensee (in which case you would not be entitled to any notice). However, the baby may together may give you additional rights (presumably at least including child support), so I will re-list this under family law.
