My boyfriend was recently arrested for his 3rd OUI offense, however it has been five years since the last offense. We have been together for 3 years and i have stated multiple times that I will stand by him no matter the outcome. He and i have agreed to enter him in treatment for alcohol abuse as soon as we can in hopes of reducing charges to 2nd offense. If he and I marry before court proceeding to trail is there any way that it can have a positive help in the process.
Your support of him will matter - not whether you are married or not. Treatment is a good idea and will be the most helpful factor he can control. Good luck!
You marrying him will have little to no impact. His willingness to enter into treatment may help reduce the charges but there are many different factors involved.
