My husband bought me our wedding ring at Jared’s and I wanted to keep my warranty up by getting my 6 month cleaning. But my husband is past due by a lot of payments. I believe he has paid around 3,000$ on a 10,000$ ring. If I go in to Jared’s to get my ring cleaned, can they take my ring from me since my husband owes them a delinquent amount of money?
Good thinking. If you hand them the ring for a cleaning, they may clean you out for keeps.
If you feel your ring needs to be cleaned, go to a different jewelry company and ask them to clean it. They usually do not charge anything, because they want to earn your good will and will usually check to make sure the stone remains securely mounted.
