Puerto Rico and Hawaii are part of the U.S. However, the Bahamas is an independent country. You would need an advance parole in order to travel there.

Don't push your luck too far.. Be grateful you just got DACA approved.
While you can travel to PR on your EAD, you cannot expect to be readmitted to the U.S. after having traveled to a foreign country or territory (Bahamas) without an advance parole document.
I would strongly recommend against applying for an advance parole document now.
Behar Intl. Counsel 619.234.5962 Kindly be advised that the answer above is only general in nature cannot be construed as legal advice, given that not enough facts are known. It is your responsibility to retain a lawyer to analyze the facts specific to your particular situation in order to give you specific advice. Specific answers will require cognizance of all pertinent facts about your case. Any answers offered on Avvo are of a general nature only, and are not meant to create an attorney-client relationship.
Can't travel outside the us without advanced parole and expect to be allowed back. For advanced parole it is only for 1 of 3 reasons school, work, and humanitarian reasons. Basically need a solid reason in one of those categories.
