My Opt extension ends in oct 2019 and my last working day was on 31 Jan 2019. I have150 days of unemployment period. My india trip was planned from 27 feb to 24 march. Is it advisable to travel to india on Opt unemployment and can I come back on 24 march on Opt as i am still eligible to stay in USA till june 2019 on OPT (150 days after 31 Jan)
What documents i have to carry in this case?
Or if i decide to stay longer like come back to USA in april , do i have to change my visa stamping to H4 in India and come back at USA on H4 if travel on Opt unemployment?
(I change my status from H4 to F1 in 2015)
I suggest that you consult with an experienced immigration attorney about your case.
A person traveling to India on F OPT stem extension unemployment period and come back to US within 60 days on OPT unemployment might not be admitted to F status.
