I listed my property with a real estate agent Monday March 1 and signed a listing agreement. He promised me to have pictures posted on the internet by end of the week. The photographer came the following Monday March 6, the listing agent again promised to have the pictures posted by Friday March 10, needless to say the picture are not posted. I feel my agent is negligent and lacks the dedication to properly list and advertise my property accurately. Am I able to terminate the listing agreement without paying a termination fee?
The agreement probably has your remedies. if you don't understand what you can do, hire a lawyer who can help you. If it's a licensed real estate agent in your state I bet you the legal counsel for the real estate people had lawyers draw up the contract. Protect yourself and get your own....
I am only admitted to practice in Florida so my answers in other states are based on 35 years of experience in this field and are not legal advice. This reply does not create the attorney client relationship, which only occurs upon execution of a fee agreement with our firm. Please do not contact us for followup advice on these general observations.
