So I was working my shift as a Host and Busser at Ruby Tuesday, we weren't really busy, it was pretty slow so i left the other host up front while i bussed tables and took my time considering it was slow as it was, I would talk to the other servers in between and just walk around to see what was needed, and in the middle of my shift the shift supervisor pulled me into his office and told it wasn't working out because I wasn't picking up the pace with bussing and that he saw me throw silverware away in the trash. And throwing silverware is an honest mistake all people make, i've done it before at other diner's I worked and other managers told me to be more careful when throwing stuff away. But of course I knew he was lying because I wasn't in a hurry of any sorts.
Unless you are protected by a union contract, an employer has discretion to fire for almost any reason, even if it's not a good reason. The facts you gave do not indicate the employer violated the law.

Unfortunately, I agree with Mr. Clark. Unless you are an employee who has a union contract or some civil servants, you are an "employee at will" who can be "laid off" or fired without notice for no reason and with no due process recourse, like the right to a hearing. The employer can even contest whether you are eligible for unemployment compensation. Although much maligned by many politicians and "conservatives", the lack of protections for most American employees is one reason some candidates argue unions should be strengthened and workers should organize and have a small part of their wages go to union dues. In your instance, you would have had a union representative to complain to and a hearing where the fake silverware rationale for your firing could have been contested.
