I hired this attorney to help me with my adjustment back in 2015, I guess she said it was not my time to apply, so she told me that I could paid her and then once it was the right time we will submit the adjustment, its been almost three years I gave her the money that USCIS requires for all the forms send september 2018, according to her she send the forms with the check I never receive a responds from USCIS I called USCIS and ask for I receipt they inform me that they dont have any filled forms or payment, I called my attorney and ask her what was going on she told me that she did send the forms with payments and that she has a receipt but she has to look for it and she will send me a copy, well to not make it longer my brother hired and apply 5 months after me back in 2018 and he has been permanent resident, am still not closed thanks to my so call immigration attorney immigration keeps of asking for more evidence, what can I due, it got to the point that know my attorney is telling me that at this point she working for free and that its not her fault another thing she submitted my adjustment till this pass Aprill, am not and attorney but I know there is something wrong wha
It's usually not a good idea to compare your situation to others, even if it is a family member. Even the smallest difference in fact pattern can cause issues to one case compared to another. You need to sit down with your attorney and go over everything and review the receipt notices. It is absolutely up to you if you want to change your attorney. If you do decide to reach out to another attorney you should have a copy of your entire file for them to review. An attorney might review the file and decide there is nothing that needs to be done other than to wait for USCIS to schedule an interview, or they might see that the applications were not filed.
