My Divorce Has Dragged On For Over 2 Years. There Have Been KEL & Legally Modern And I've Paid Legally Modern 2300 To Handle The Divorce And Had Multiple Problems With Their Communication And With Laura Lieing To Me What She Would Do After She Got Her 2300 Dollars. Actually, She Handled A Drivers License Suspension Issue In The Very Beginning But Was Promising A Final Divorce Hearing Within 6 Months! I've Been Lied To And Sometimes Null Informed Of Court Dates. The Law Group Was Given Multiple Calls To Speak To Laura And Get A Call Back But Months Of Trying Nothing Ever Transpired. We Had Phone Mediation Which Was Terrible. A Mediation Was Setup And That Was Missed Because They Kept Changing Court Dates And Kept Me Calling Them And Getting No Where And Due To That Recent Circumstance I Was Charged 120 From Court And Laura Petitioned To Leave My Divorce Case. Now, I've Gone Through 2 Lawyers(Bear In Mind I Opened And Delivered My Divorce Case/Paperwork) And Spend Almost 10,000 Dollars. With My Experience I Can Say There Is A Trend Of Scamming And Lieing To Me About What Services I Will Be Owed By These Lawyers. Can I Sue These Liars & Scammers?
While I can't speak dispositively about the merits of you comments I will point out several things. First, its never a good idea to name names in public posts as you could find yourself sued for defamation, etc. Second, there is a common denominator that may play into this and that is your handling of issue and expectations that may be unrealistic. Absent a wholly uncontested divorce, it is a virtual certainty no-one could promise a 6 month time frame. Adding to this, if you are hiring a lawyer on a budget of $2,300.00 to do a contested or complicated divorce, you cannot have cake and eat it too, by expecting the lawyers to be very attentive, willing to field lots of telephone calls and questions, etc. To the contrary, if that is your desire and equally your right to have, then your legal expenses will reflect that accordingly. What is clear, is the likelihood of a single client claiming the same fault from two different unrelated law firms is highly improbable, and that is an important factor to examine OBJECTIVELY as it is routine for frustrated family law litigants to have unrealistic expectations collide with inadequate legal funding and vent thier anger to thier own lawyers and equally often the judge and the other parties lawyers. That stated, you should worry first about finding competent legal counsel to represent you in your divorce case and then worry about the oter issues later as you will likely find that suing anyone over $2,300.00 is typically a financially poor decision. You need to focus your effort on positive family law case outcome not blame laying failure.
