I bought into a Matco Tools franchise a year ago and I feel I got bullied into signing paperwork to terminate my contract on top of being lied to about how the separation and what I would owe and that the company would work with me on payments to pay back the money I would owe them and I have found out they give me 60 days to pay back about $90,000 Please I need to see what I can do about the lies and other issues of the separation. I'm just a automotive technician that wanted to give my family a better life and I feel I've been taken advantage of. Thank you. (the question area will not let me finish my question)
Seek out the assistance of a qualified attorney as soon as possible. Generally contracts have a merger clause that restricts the use of representations made by agents of a company that are not specifically included in the "four corners" of the contract. You may still have a claim but it is important that you seek counsel to review the agreement that you signed with the company.
You absolutely need to consult an attorney in your jurisdiction to review the contract and advise you. Right now. Good luck...
