You can sue but you will likely lose. Alienation of affection is no longer a cause of action in Illinois, and the only ground for divorce is irreconcilable differences. Doesn't your husband have culpability in this equation for consenting to the affair? Perhaps you should consult with a family law attorney about divorcing him instead of wasting time and money on a lawsuit against the girlfriend that is nearly certainly guaranteed to fail.
