my son was diagnosed learning disability since pre kinder until 4/2016 was tested by regional center and was diagnosed with autism . his psychiatrist was the first one to diagnosed my son and then they send me to regional center it took other people to get involve to pressure laud to do the test my son was finally tested by laud 4/2016 and they came out with the same conclusion .my son miss the help need all this time
This question is confusing. He was diagnosed pre kinder and you had an open case with the regional center. Why did you need to also get a diagnosis from the school district? Was there an IEP when he was tested by the regional center?
You indicate that your son was first diagnosed with a learning disability "since pre kinder". That seems to suggest that he was diagnosed since before he was 5.
You indicate your son was seeing a psychiatrist who diagnosed your son - what was the doctor's diagnosis and when did he/she make it?
You indicate that regional center apparently assessed your son and found he qualified for regional center services. What was their diagnosis and when did they make it?
You indicate the school district also tested your son and apparently found he qualified for educational support services? When did you first request an IEP, when did they start and complete his IEP, and what was the conclusion of the IEP assessment? What services are being provided?
As you can see from my questions, which are just preliminary questions for clarification, the situation you describe requires that you retain an attorney who specializes in handling Education Law related issues, There is a small group of attorneys in CA who do exceptional dedicated work in this area. Confer with an attorney who specializes in this area of law.
I hope this is helpful.
