Went to ER; sent back after intake because of severe pain in stomach, fever, etc. while waiting in wheelchair. Emergency carts were being rolled into me causing more pain, asked to be move, told go down to other chairs without assistance; did that, still in way. Put in room where male nurse “J” gives me Tylenol for pain; then gives me another pain med. that also contains Tylenol. I have an allergic reaction (inching & warm sinsation)
Nurse “A” checks on me and in the presence of husband and (2) persons says that I exhibited signs of overdose. Advised me to let others know that he said it. He will get me benedril for itching. No one came back. I was Admitted. Moved to other room. Scold by a nurse or “Coin” because I went to bathroom w/o telling her. My accompanying nurse say to her she’s okay, “Not one of yours”. I ‘m put in room with a restrained woman who has to have 24/7 watch. Multiple (14+) needles to get blood and forIV site. I’m left bruised and anxious to leave. Staff comes in and ask me to go for a walk. I said ok; He insist on putting a large orange belt around my waste, I wouldn’t allow them, I’ m suffering from diverticulitis. I walked w/o aid.....
You can sue anyone for anything but it doesn't mean that you have a case. From what you have described here, I do not see a valid cause of action. There are no permanent or even sizeable damages that you describe. I do not believe any attorney would be interested in this. I am sorry that this happened to you and that you were distressed by their treatment, but it does not sound like any of the agents of the hospital acted outside the scope of what is professionally acceptable. That being said, you should always consult with an attorney for full and proper opinion. Good luck.
