My job had a Christmas party during work hours from 2 to 4pm. However, I do not celebrate holidays for religion reasons. I informed my team leader that I will not be attending the party. The manager gave me two options since I don't celebrate and will not be going into the break room where the party was located. Option 1. stay at my desk and work while everyone else celebrate. Option 2. Use my personal time and leave work at 2 o'clock. The way my job floor plan is designed it will be too crowed for everyone to fit into the break room comfortably so other employee will be at their desk eating and socializing. But they didn't give me an option to stay and socialize at my desk if i didn't want to attend the party. I asked them do they think its far to make me work while everyone play around?
You have no claims worth pursuing. They gave you the option to leave
