I had to cancel a flight weeks ago, so then the company sent an email with my reservation credit and expiring due date for using it which had to be October 8th 2018, meaning today. So I was trying to make a reservation and using the credit but an error saying "this credit has been already used". Then, I called the reservation center approximately at 1:38pm and a lady named Stephanie answered me and told me that I cannot longer use the credit because it expired yesterday. I have the email sent by the company saying otherwise. It says: Reservation Credit Valid thru October 08, 2018 Amount $355.66
You should consider preparing a letter to mail by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the airline to set out the facts and to demand the relief that you want. Make sure that your letter is professional and business like as it may be evidence later. Include for support the email that you received, and mention your efforts to use the credit.
The legal analysis would start with a review of the ticket purchase and the terms, conditions, and restrictions on the purchase, and extend to the airline's filings with the Federal Aviation Administration, and the communications which have occurred.
You may consider filing suit in small claims court to seek your refund, using your letter as evidence.
