I've gone to two different car dealerships in the past week trying to get a new car. At the second dealership, they could not get me approved from the loan because the first place lied about my income when we provided pay stubs with the correct amount. So now I cannot get a new car or a good rate because the banks are confused as far as how much we really make and they ran my credit through like 20 different companies. Is there anything I can do legally?
"because the first place lied about my income when we provided pay stubs with the correct amount" ....thats going to be difficult to prove starting with the fact that..... most of the time........ there is a written credit application SIGNED BY YOU that sets out the income claimed. The stubs are just supporting documentation. There is clearly more to this issue, like why did you get rejected at the first place for a loan, especially assuming they inflated your income? That would all need to be addressed in order to even begin to answer the question posed.
