I bought a jeep Cherokee about 7 months ago, it had over 200,000 miles on it. From the start, the gas pedal would give out and it would back fire, no one could figure out why, got worse and would stall out in the middle of traffic. Today, the dash is not working and it wont stay running. The dealer never looked it over, he had it a month before I bought it. I've put maybe 2,000 miles on it, as I use it for personal use. I took it to a mechanic, who ran tests on it and he couldn't figure out whats wrong with it. Is it too late to go after the dealer? I bought it off a used car lot dealer. Thank you for your help, I really do appreciate it.
A vehicle with more than 100,000 miles on it is not covered under the lemon law. Even if the vehicle had fewer than 100,000 miles at the time of purchase the longest warranty that comes with a used vehicle under the lemon law is 90 days or 4000 miles.
