I have a life insurance license in the state of mississippi and temporary in Al, Ga, and NC. I was recruited into company through my step mom but not seeing eye to eye i left for a while. she is licensed in MS only and some companies wont accept her license and let her sell their policies. So she goes to different states signing my name on the policies and when i returned i had no idea i was a top seller for mutual of omaha for the month. Who should I contact and what is the right legal procedure to a situation like this? Is their anyway i can get compensated for the thousands she made of my license and forged signatures?
You have a world of issues to deal with, including the loss of your own license. Your Mom is also in a world of hurt, as the forgery will undoubtedly be grounds for action by Mississippi authorities. If you're Series 6 or 7 registered, you'll also be dealing with FINRA, SEC and the Mississippi Securities Dep't.
Your actions need to be carefully planned to protect your own interests and livelihood. You need to speak to a financial services/regulatory attorney immediately.
