My now ex husband and I borrowed money from my parents to purchase a home. The check was made out to both of us but i am the only one that have been paying the loan back. Do I have any financial recourse to sue my ex husband for the half of the loan to get some of the money back that i have paid?
There may be an argument for you to get half the amount of the loan from your now ex husband. More of the facts would have to be explored to see if this was a true loan at the time (the fact that you are paying it back to date helps that fact pattern) and other relevant factors. You should speak with a competent attorney who can sort through the facts and plan a course of action with you.
