There's been no flushing toilets, or heat or hot water since October., The landlord is aware and not going to fix it he says. I've been through eviction process with landlord and the day after court (1 month stay for me), basement floods and still no heat and 2 feet water in basement. Landlord blames me, he calls police to kick me out and police notice the bad smell,(toilet,!!, freezing cold) The officer demands landlord to put me in hotel immediately. 2 days later, city inspector comes to check out the apartment and condemns the property. Please help me. Thank you.
By what you describe, sounds like a serious violation of your rights. You may be entitled to more than pain and suffering depending on the landlord/tenant laws of the state you live in. I would contact a landlord/tenant attorney right away especially if the conditions are as bad as stated. Also, make sure you take plenty of pictures as evidence for later on.
You should use the find a lawyer tab above to get help. Written notice of the defects ( paper and pen) is always the best way to documents the issues with a landlord. You should also thing about relocation costs as well.

Based on your post, I am guessing you don't have a lot of money to spend on an attorney otherwise you would have obtained a better result in the eviction process ( a one month stay leaves a lot on the table). So, I would recommend calling one of the free legal services agencies in CT. I believe you can call 211 from any phone, describe your situation, and they will put you in contact with the right organization for an intake meeting in your area of the State.
