Can I sue my coop management company for negligence of duty!?
I am a coop owner in Brooklyn. I have been having the radiator noise problem in my unit for as long as I moved in (2019). Apart from the radiator issue, I had numerous other problems such as leaking ceiling. Whenever such issues were raised, I would contact the management company via phone or email. I would leave more than twenty voice mails, and it was nearly impossible for them to reach back to me. I have sent over 50 emails, but the management company only replied portion of them without following up with what they promised. They said they will have the plumber knock off the wall and fix the radiator issue (machine gun noise whenever heat is providing). But the management company never kept their promises. My emails would be ignored for months until I contact the board members numerous times. The first time I contacted the management company over the noise issue was December 2019, and the problem is still not resolved. At this point, I also made a formal complain of the management company to the board members. And I still didnt hear anything from both parties. Would very appreciate any legal advises.
