i did work for a client in 12/2017, got a check mailed out to me, called that clients bank and confirmed two things, 1, the amount and 2 who it was made out too.. both checked out, they said it was good, i deposited. on 1/26/2018 the bank reversed my deposit claiming the sender said it was fraud! i know there is a stop check period of 7-10 days or so, but this is unheard of..can i sue? know im in debt!! went from plus to minus.. due to no fault of my own..his bank cleared it and to lie a month later??
what are my options
singed sincerely pissed! oh his bank is in tx
The lawsuit is against the client who had the check cancelled, not the banks.
