My boyfriend bought me a car and we are now breaking up. My banks statements show that I have been paying for the car for 6 months now (minus a deposit for 1500 he gave which $500 was mine to get my car out of being repossessed) and he is tying to take the car back from me and I let him know he will be sued for the $3,100 I’ve invested into the car so far? How likely is it that I would win in court ?
Not well. He holds title, he owns the car. You can try MDJ court to recover the increase in value, depends on the facts if you win or lose. Good luck.
