Ok so I've dating this girl and she has two children and the father of her daughter decided to take something that was said at daycare and twist it into something it wasn't out of jealousy to try to keep me away from his daughter and accused me of kissing his 3 year old daughter inappropriately so cyfd and the police were involved and cyfd determined that nothing like that ever happened the child's father is just a very controlling and jealous person because his daughter became very attached to me
The answer is yes, if you can find a lawyer that will do so. You would have to present witnesses that will say that as a result of such untruthful statements being made by the father, the witnesses heard it from the father, and that they will no longer do business with you or it has otherwise damaged your reputation in the community. Then you have to prove damages by showing how you were financially harmed as a result of the untruthful statements. It will be a difficult case in my opinion, and you will probably have to pay your attorney on an hourly basis.
