I had to have a hip revision because my original hip (total metal hip replacement) was starting to have issues. If the doctor didn't go in & replace the "ball & cup liner" with plastic & ceramic, I would eventually have damage to surrounding bone & muscle. Can I sue the company that provided the original hip? It was Depuy, but it was not the model that was recalled.
It really depends on whether you can establish negligence by the manufacturer. More information is needed before I could offer a more detailed response.

Perhaps if I were you I would do a Google search for that product and any attorneys who may have sued the company
