I was asleep in my hotel bed in Miami Florida. I woke up and had numerous text messages from an unknown number. One of the text messages was a picture of me sleeping in my bed followed by the text "urrr so cute." I told the manager on duty and they determined the unknown number belongs to an employee bellhop. The bellhop used a keycard to let himself in my room, take a picture of me sleeping, and send it to me. Is this breach of privacy in anyway and do I have grounds to sue the hotel?
Oh Hell yeah that is a violation. When you pay for a hotel room, you are in possession of it for that time and have a reasonable expectation of privacy in it. You should call the police and sue the hotel chain and the bell hop.
