I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks. At 10 weeks I visited the ER with abdominal cramping. I was checked for appendicitis and UTI but never had an ultrasound done. He checked for the babies heart beat and didn't find it and insisted it was too early to hear a heartbeat at 10 weeks. He said I should know this was normal because this was my second pregnancy. I never experienced this with my first pregnancy which is why I went in the first place. A week later at my OB appointment they told me I was experiencing a miscarriage.(Oct/11/2018) in November 2nd I was given medicine to pass my baby and I still had complications where they had to do an urgent D & C procedure at a different hospital.
That's a very sad situation, but the prospects of litigation about it don't seem encouraging. See https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=7.70
