I had surgery to correct both cosmetic and functional issues with my nose. I had breathing issues and some asymmetry. The surgeon failed to follow the standard guidelines during the surgery and has been evasive and dismissive since despite numerous follow up appointments and emails. The surgical notes are suspiciously short (1 paragraph for a 6 hour surgery) and the surgery took twice as long as originally estimated. I suspect something went wrong and I have not been fully informed of what happened.
I have almost entirely lost my sense of smell, and therefore taste, as well as lost about 85% of the ability to breathe through my nose. I sneeze on average 30 times a day and am constantly congested. It's honestly ridiculous and impacts my day to day life, including work. There are also numerous cosmetic concerns, but my biggest concern is the functional issues as they impact quality of life.
The surgeon has suggested another operation with them; however, they want to put it through my insurance. They've even said that the insurance "won't know". It all just seems incredibly fishy to me and I'm curious if I have any legal recourse here.
